Journey of ESDAA
The Environmental Science Discipline of Khulna University founded in 1996 as a pioneer of Environmental Science Education in Bangladesh. To unite the Environmental science graduates of Khulna university and to work for their wellbeing, Environmental Science Discipline Alumni Association (ESDAA) of Khulna university formed as a Welfare association, through a transparent and participatory Election process following the Constitution that was developed with the consultation process among all Environmental science graduates of Khulna University. The first-ever election of the executive committee of Environmental Science Discipline Alumni Association (ESDAA) of Khulna University was held online on 2nd April 2022.
An Independent Election commission formed following the constitution and they have arranged a transparent election process which ends with an online voting process, where 283 out of 300 registered voters (94.33%) of ESDAA voted to elect first ever Executive Committee. The Election commission published the list of elected committee member on 09th April 2022, and which start the journey of Environmental science alumni association. All environmental science graduates and the current students were very cheerful as the election was held a long waited 25 years later.
Currently 300 graduates registered as member of alumni association and with the help of all members, executive committee started their activities right after the formal formation. So far alumni association has taken part in many humanitarian activities, career counseling program and celebration of different occasions with all graduates.
Below are the Member of First Ever elected Executive committee of ESDAA
M Anowar Hossain was elected as the president while Md Ehsanul Hoque Shipu became the general secretary.
The other newly-elected members are: Vice-Presidents- Md Sihab Uddin and Tania Sultana Mimi, Organizing Secretary- Alamgir Kabir Shuvo, Finance Secretary-Anamul Haque, Office Secretary -Saiful Islam, Koushik Ahmed – Publicity and Publication Secretary, Liaison and Mass Communication Secretary -Mahfuzul Huq, Sports Secretary -Md. Sabbir Ahsan , Literature and Cultural Secretary -Jahangir Mursidi Rony, Environment, Disaster and Social Welfare Secretary -Md. Adith Shah Durjoy, IT & Research Secretary -Animesh Gain, Law Secretary -Kaniz Fatema and Women Affairs Secretary -Pratima Mukherjee , Executive Members: Aminul Haque Kawser, Md. Hafizur Rahman Shaikh, Shourav Kumar Maitra(Pranto), Md. Ashik ur Rahman, Sakib Rahman, Debasish Chakraborty, Md. Monowarul Islam Towhid, Shuvra Mondal, Umme Sumaiya and Anirban Saha.
Mission & Vision
To work as a Welfare Association for all Environmental Science Graduates of Khulna University
As a nonpolitical, non-profit and welfare organization Environmental Science Discipline Alumni Association (ESDAA) of Khulna university will work for these below Objectives/missions.
- To work for the professional skill development and Career growth of all environmental science graduate of Khulna university.
- To work as common communication platform for all environmental science graduates of Khulna university, improve coordination, ensure solidarity, and extend required support for graduates.
- To facilitate and arrange webinar, seminar, symposium, workshop on environmental concerns.
- To improve the environmental awareness, facilitate and support relevant research program.
- To Ensure Humanitarian support for environmental science graduates of Khulna university in any considerable situation.
- To extend the support and response to affected community on any natural calamity or disaster.
- To promote and publish achievements of environmental science graduate s of Khulna university.

Election Commission was established following the procedure mention on ESDAA Constitution. Below three members were work in Election commission for the 2022 election. Kallol Biswas- Chief Election Commissioner Saidhur Rahman Milon: Member- Election Commission Farjana Akhtar: Member- Election Commission. Election for the year 2022 of environmental science discipline was held on online platform. Independent Election commission develop a website to facilitate the election process. All required information regarding election were communicated with environmental science graduates through email and FB page.
